Frequently Asked Questions
What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct primary care (DPC) is a healthcare model that prioritizes the doctor-patient relationship. This is a return to the way that medical care used to be where a patient receives personalized care and attention from a trusted physician who knows them. DPC practices do not bill insurance and therefore can offer more affordable (no insurance price inflation) and transparent pricing for services, as well as greater flexibility in scheduling appointments and accessing care. The direct primary care model can help reduce overall healthcare costs by focusing on preventive care and avoiding unnecessary visits to specialists or emergency rooms. DPC allows for comprehensive, personalized care and services for a low monthly membership fee.

Do you take insurance?

The Direct Primary Care model does not bill insurance. This allows for us to provide comprehensive, personalized care without being subject to insurance company regulations that can limit the ability to provide your child the care that they deserve. We can provide the highest level of care without limitations.
We do recommend that patients maintain health insurance for catastrophic life events, hospitalizations, vaccinations, diagnostic testing, and other expensive unexpected health needs. Many patients with high deductible plans have coverage for the larger expenses, but are still paying out-of-pocket for the vast majority of their annual healthcare. Our monthly membership allows you to receive many more services, direct access, and personalized care for one transparent monthly fee.
What is not included in my membership?

Anything not listed in the member benefits which may include medications, payment for vaccine from our partner Vaxcare, diagnostic testing (lab and imaging tests), ear piercing, specialist visits, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations.
How do you handle vaccines?

We partner with Vaxcare to provide your child with recommended vaccines. Vaxcare supplies the vaccines, we administer the vaccines, and then Vaxcare will submit a bill to the health insurance company for you. We practice evidence based medicine and recommend vaccinations as per the American Academy of Pediatrics and CDC vaccine schedule. We do not recommend a modified, delayed, or no-vaccination schedule. If you have any questions about the vaccine schedule or the safety of vaccines, we would be happy to meet with you to answer all of your questions.
